Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who ended his nine-day long sit-in protest at Lt. Governor Anil Baijal's office on Tuesday, cancelled all his scheduled meetings on Wednesday as his health deteriorated.

The AAP convenor was not feeling well, said sources. Kejriwal, a diabetic, was suffering from high sugar levels for the past few days.

The Aam Aadmi Party chief is expected to leave for Bengaluru on Thursday to undergo a 10-day naturopathy treatment for diabetes, the sources said.

He has been to Bengaluru for the naturopathy treatment in past too.

"His trip was already planned. He was to go to Bengaluru, but the unplanned sit-in came in between. So he will go now," Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said while speaking to reporters.

The AAP chief along with his party colleagues was in news recently over their sit-in protest against the L-G demanding statehood for Delhi and a direction for IAS officers, who were allegedly on strike, to report back to work.

The strike by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders ended a day after the Delhi High Court pulled them up saying they could not hold dharna at someone’s office or residence in this manner.

Kejriwal and other AAP ministers had started the dharna at the L-G’s office on June 13.

Two AAP ministers – Satyendar Jain and Manish Sisodia – had gone on a hunger strike a day after the dharna began. However, earlier this week, the health condition of both Jain and Sisodia deteriorated and they were admitted to LNJP hospital in the national capital.

During his dharna, Kejriwal got the support of various opposition parties, barring the Congress. Chief Ministers of four states – Andhra Pradesh’s Chandrababu Naidu, West Bengal’s Mamata Banerjee, HD Kumaraswamy of Karnataka and Pinarayi Vijayan of Kerala – had even gone to the L-G office to meet Kejriwal and other AAP leaders.

However, they were denied permission to meet the leaders sitting on dharna. Following this, the chief ministers went to the residence of Kejriwal and met his family members.

Backing Kejriwal, BJP's estranged ally Shiv Sena said that an elected leader should be allowed to work.
