A survey conducted by Panpaadu Makkal Thodarbagam floated by former students of Loyola College here predicted a victory for the DMK front in the Lok Sabha and Assembly by-elections. But the Loyola College distanced itself from the survey.

The Panpaadu Makkal Thodarbagam on Friday said that the DMK-led alliance had the potential to win 27-33 of the 40 Lok Sabha seats (39 in Tamil Nadu and one in Puducherry).

According to the survey, the ruling AIADMK-led alliance could win 3-5 Lok Sabha seats and rebel AIADMK leader T.T.V. Dhinakaran's AMMK 2 seats.

In the by-elections for 18 assembly seats in Tamil Nadu, the survey predicted a DMK win in 9-11 seats, AIADMK in two and AMMK in 3-4 seats.

Meanwhile, the Loyola College has denied any connection with the election survey carried out by some of its former students.

Loyola College said in a statement that it was in no way connected or related to Panpaadu Makkal Thodarbagam.
